This samurai seems not to enjoy her life. She has anger over the loss of a loved one. Maybe a another samurai. I like the alliteration in all the tankas. It is one of the binding techniques. This seems like it would be hard to do. For three writers to share the writing of one story and even one tanka stanza.

I really shouldn't be reviewing this, Gypsy. I confused myself from the start because the lady in the pic is holding a Katana rather than a Naginata. Also, she is holding it such that the sharpened end of the blade is facing her; something that is not practiced. But this whole project of the Renga is very confusing to me. The writing is elegant as far as I can tell, but I can't seem to get the gist of what it is saying.

I enjoyed this very much and am impressed with your Collaborative renga with Dean and Hitcher. The rules to this are precise and for me, quite complicated. I like the alternating the author for each verse and look forward to the next two posts. Very, very nice work with this. I am quite impressed.
