A very well-written ode. A little child seems to survive a certain death, if a old fisherman did not rescue him. A fugitive from a foreign land, it may be possible to change his future fate.

Your story in a poem contest entry is excellent. I can't say I actually enjoyed reading it because of the subject matter. But that being said it is a real statement on society, or the world that we live in and it's is horrible that we allow such conditions to exist. I do wish you luck with the contest.

This is an excellent contest entry. You should do well. This may be an answer to the travel ban dilemma. Let everyone under twelve-years-old come in.

Such a wonderful work Tony, the wording is absolutely superb, speaking on behalf of those poor souls in a our world, snatched from safety, and living every waking moment, how will it shape them, will they survive, will fear consume them, or will the ashes of circumstance, bury them alive? Magnificent work, with incredible descriptive imagery, well done, exceptional work, blessings, Roy

The art work was really
great in every way
the words were very
telling and something
like this happens within
our world and should not happen.
I am very impressed that has been
written here.
Great writing.

I enjoyed reading this ode. It tells a story of many who face the same circumstances in life. A story that just isn't told very often, or just not brought to awareness of the tragic lives of these children. I really liked your choice of words you chose to express the story. Good luck in the contest. Really good poem.

this story in a poem gives voice to the plight of the refugee children who suffer each day. Within the well penned flowing lines, you have reminded us that there are more victims than we know,

You've written a great storytelling poem.
I especially like the questions: 'Was that to be your due? And how did you escape?'
Great artwork. The image shown supports the poem. The background goes well with the art and color of font chosen.
Best of luck to you in the contest.
Thanks for sharing your Story.
Good luck with your future writing.

You have written a great story here with warmth in your heart and understanding. Your words resonate deep and are well chosen. Your poem has the flow of a continuous songbird, with a messag for us all, this poem is now a favourite for me, love Dolly x

Wow T and what a story it is. beautiful flowery , descriptive metaphors. From what i can gather its something about the life of a street kid and the evils he could face.
I might be well off the mark but that's my interpretation. Well done and thanks for sharing
