Family dynamics are always something that can cause lifelong hurts and/or lifelong support. The first lines which start with a quote seem to lack a closing quote.

hi there; thank you so much for reading. I followed the rules about continuing a quote over several paragraphs - you only close the quote at the very end.

While I believe that sometimes family members can wish each other dead, I do not understand how can a mother's love always have a fee?
Are you referring to the sibling rivalry, and to siblings wishing each other dead sometimes? This is what I understood from the poem.

Hi Gianina; the fee for the Mother's love was to conform to her every wish. Yes, the sibling rivalry causes them to wish one another dead.

I posted a poem some while back about two brothers who drifted apart because they each thought their mother loved the other one more. When she died, they discovered that they both had the same feelings.

Family tends to protect each other. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a very good imagery and descriptive scheme. Very nice post.
