Amen, for we are but pilgrims, and strangers in this land, to enjoy it, spread His love, for a time...then journey home. This is a lovely entry, blessings...

This is a very effective poem. It starts with the darkness of one's spiritual nature that seeks fulfillment in the light. It is beautifully expressed with the dark/light and day/night metaphors. Good luck in the contest.

I enjoyed the presentation made here. It was very spiritual but calming. The selection of the photo was colorful and appropriate for the subject and the words in the poem. It was breathtaking to see the water lit up and to read the words that accompanied them. A hidden bird is always a winner. And lastly it was peaceful.

My pilgrimage will be complete in your eternity. I like that line because I can interpret it two ways: it might be about my lover and me or about God and I, or, perhaps about nature as the lover. Well done. Beautiful imagery.

A soothing spiritual poem with serene tranquility and calm connotations. I loved the line: 'the heaven's Milky Way smiled on the earth below', a joy to read, love Dolly x

Nice poem, Anonymous Author, and a wonderfully well composed poetic proclamation portraying one's spirituality.
The rhyming was on the money, as was the message this conveys.
Even when we feel alone we're never truly alone.

You're more than welcome.

this is an excellent poem. Your rhymes are spot one and the meter couldn't be better. It is very easy to read. It will probably win the contest.

what a nice entry for a spiritual prompt!
just a side thought: I can barely remember being able to see the Milky Way. Seems a
thing of childhood times before the city became too big....just a
memory, but thanks for it.
The Voice, 'made my soul rejoice'.
and
'My pilgrimmage will be complete in your eternity.'
I know I think in terms of eternity and God; but it could also be a song
of love eternal for a person...
Very expressive and imagery laden work. I enjoyed it.

The first stanza calls to mind The Lord walking in the cool of the evening in the garden where Adam and Eve were hiding after chomping that apple...this looks to prompt and an excellent entry for the contest.
