That was such a brilliant essay. I've been thinking more about life and death as the years spiral towards my body's end. Where will my mind go, my thoughts are not tangible, touchable things that we can catch hold of, they are like the air we breathe, it's there but we can't see it. One day the human brain will evolve into an amazing force of knowledge, but we have to open our minds to let the brain explore all the possibilities it's capable of. I love reading your work, it always gives me much to think about. Well done, John. :) Sandra xx

Hello,
This is a very interesting piece.
I do believe we are creators, that our mind and the law of attraction can create our world. Above all, I am grateful for everything in my life.
Thank you for sharing.

This is a very interesting take on the ancient philosophical question of human purpose. I found it very thought provoking to take information related to both the brain and modern computer science and apply that information to the enduring question of purpose.
I might suggest that the essay may contain too much information. So many ideas were introduced that I felt just as I was grabbing hold of one thought, two more rushed by. I would have enjoyed having a little more time with the various ideas and insights presented. I also struggled a little with some of the more technical language trying to equate mind to its computer counterpart. The second to the last paragraph I found particularly challenging in this regard.
That being said, I really enjoyed many of your quotes and share your admiration for Tesla and the modern perspective you offered.

You succeeded admirably in the "making me think" department. I found your ideas challenging, taking me back long past philosophy classes.

Dear Cogitator,

The world is hard to interpret. Why does man do the things that he does? I believe that each of us wrestles with good and evil. For those who find their soul are the ones who will do good. Human nature to me is a baffling and the older I get the less I understand it. How do evil men control the masses?

Warm regards,

Winslow

There is no such thing as evil, sin or guilt. Everyone is doing the best they can with their level of understanding. We should seek to raise the level. Thanks...John

I am giving you five stars because the piece is well written from a purely technical point of view. I saw nothing that needed correction. You present some interesting ideas, and will make readers think, whether they agree with you or not.

I didn't give six stars, because I feel the ideas presented need further development and explanation. In many places there are grand announcements, which the reader is apparently expected to accept as given, or obvious, but they are not. I think the piece would be improved if you explained how you've reached some of these conclusions, rather than just presenting them. I've noted a few examples below.

One of the best quotes Tesla coined to understand life is:

"If you want to understand the universe, think in terms of frequency, energy, and vibration." -- Please expand on why this is significant.

Many will remain in this state without questioning why they feel what they feel.

People who remain in an animal state are not to blame. -- so the previous paragraph is describing "an animal state"? It is not clear.

The phony beliefs and values you have been convinced to think as true is the reason why someone like the current administration is in Washington. -- If you make statements like this, you need to expand on them and explain your reasoning. Which phony beliefs and values, and how did they give rise to the current administration? Also, any reference to contemporary politics dates the piece. Twenty years from now, what will readers make of this statement? They will have to determine when you wrote the piece to identify the administration.

If truth ruled, all corporations would be non-profit, war would be outlawed, no person would be ignored or judged, and everyone would be treated as a family member. Hello!-- while many might agree with your statement, to reach those who might not, you must expand and explain your reasoning.

Our brain is bicameral-two chambers. -- two lobes might be a better description. Chambers imply a confined space, which might be metaphorically true but not, I think, what you were intending.

Ego is an artificial construct -- another pronouncement you need to explain and justify. You may not like Ego and it's effects, but that is not evidence that it is artificial. Describe to us how Ego is created if it is not natural. Has there ever been a person without Ego?

We have access to the universal consciousness. -- Another grand pronouncement without any offered evidence. Please explain why you believe there is a universal consciousness, and how one might access it.

Interesting ideas, but give us more to back them up.

Keep writing!

I, or anyone else, cannot teach. It is up to each individual to decide what is obscuring the truth from what they understand. If we dis-cover truth by removing lies, we are on the right track. Our unifying spirit does not care about what our puny ego thinks. Thanks...John

There are only three elements to our consciousness -- Time, space and understanding. The concept of time is created by our left hemisphere because it breaks energy down into digital interpretation and space is created by the analog interpretation of wave "size" from the received energy. There is no other time but NOW -- yesterday and tomorrow are simply projections of our imagination. Space is created by our Point of View, from which we contemplate what we envision as our universe. The view is constant truth and does not change because our point of view changes. The last element of consciousness -understanding, is what we all need to work on to see the totality of being. Hi there, this a great piece of writing and it so resonates with me. What you say is exactly my thoughts about life. I couldn't have said it better myself. In fact, I couldn't have said it quite like you have.
Just a suggestion: 'We are not mere animals, we are creators.' I suggest: 'We are not mere animals. We are creators.' I think it has more punch that way.
Loved your essay. All the best. Ulla:))

Most of us will get to a point in life where we ask ourselves: "What's all this about?" or "What is the meaning of Life?"

How right you are - I'm beginning to ask myself the very same questions NOW that I'm approaching my fifties.

Basically it began in 2015 when my husband had to be operated on to remove a brain tumor. This has left him a mentally weaker person who suffers unpredictable epileptic seizures. So I became his full time caregiver, and began resenting "God" for doing this to us.

As human beings, we are given five senses to experience our condition. The sixth sense is, of course, the element of balance, which is the only rule of staying alive. While we develop, these five senses give us an idea of what is tasty, beautiful, harmonic, and natural during our stay as a human. Many will remain in this state without questioning why they feel what they feel.

Also so true, and it would seem that these very senses and the ego at the steering wheel, that heads humans to abominable errors of judgement.

Thank you so much for the most enlightening piece I've ever read here.

We all need you and all like you.
Apky
