This is a very nice read indeed. And since I'm really intrigued, planning to go back and read the previous chapters too.... Want to learn more about the story. Wonderful work.

Finally a way Drew can get his daughter away from her mother. I feel sorry for Emily.

One question for you in this part:
"She asked Shana if she was that woman her mom complained about." She attempted to hide her smile.
"I'm sure you handled it with class."
If Emily was asking Shana the question, why would Helen be the one answering? Did you mean 'She asked if Shana was the woman her mom complained about'?

This chapter moved things forward at a better pace, in my opinion. Nice job!

Helen over heard the question and stepped in. I am sure you know people like that. LOL Thank you for the kind review.

Great reading again. Glad you mentioned the picture. I missed it and had to scroll back up for a look. Very good. Thanks again. No spags at all, well done. Hope I said enough...I lose whatever I have written if FS says not enough!

Another enjoyable chapter left at a place where the reader hold their breath waiting for the next chapter.

You may need to join the lines in this gliitch:

"I'm surprised you didn't know." Jeremy took a drink of tea, before he continued, "Her neighbors called because of the noise and it was in the early hours of the morning. When the police arrived they found drug
paraphernalia. Ms. Sharp claimed she knew nothing about it." He paused, looked away, and then added, "We suspect she's dealing."

Best,
Apky

FS won't allow me. I tried twice. Paraphernalia is too long. LOL Thank you for the kind review.

It looks as if the tide has turned in Anderson's favor. There is very good evident against his ex-wife. This is very well written with a smooth flow of words, making for a good read.

Some type of a glitch. I will try to correct it, if I can.

I guess it's the same in everyone's lives, even those who appear to have everything. They just can't seem to avoid the worst things in life and it's become almost impossible to shield children from drugs and druggies. Thanks for sharing another fine chapter. :-)

Wow, this is great stuff. Now we are getting somewhere. I hope the simple answer of asking Dmitry Bezrukov for interest in the painting might work in returning the painting to its owners without getting someone hurt, but if this gambit works your novel would end quickly.

Meanwhile, Anderson is dealing with the news that his ex-wife Patricia uses drugs:

"If Patricia's using, that explains why she can't live within her alimony."

This also opens up the possibility that he can gain custody of their daughter Emily.

Only SPAG is that there is a big gap after this phrase:

When the police arrived they found drug

Thank you for sharing another action and dialogue packed chapter. I feel things are heating up with the entrance of the two Jewish men. Thanks.

What a busy morning. A lot for everyone to digest. Anderson definitely has to find out what is going on with his ex-wife. I do hope he gets custody of his daughter. What a great suggestion by Jeremy, I would never have thought of that. Now I wonder who the two Jewish men are downstairs. As I said, a lot covered in this one. I didn't see any spags or mistakes. Nice work with this one. I look forward to the next post.

Well it seems that Jeremy knows something about Patricia that really helps in his custody battle for little Emily, his daughter, I think of my five year old granddaughter when I think of a "user" mother, (my daughter is a great mum) great episode, slivers of light, thanks to cousin Jeremy. Excellent plot Barbara, blessings, Roy
