You know Ricky its really hard to appreciate heartfelt lyrics I find without the potential accompanying music or a potential tune to go with the words for that tune can carry with it all the emotion this this song lyrics deserve. It is such an emotional subject and I feel your pain and I hope someone could add a melody to give it justice. Thanks for sharing your heartfelt words

I think these are well written lyrics. It must be very hard to lose a son. But part of him lives on through the organ donations. Take care~Debbie

Dear Ricky,

I am sorry about the loss of your son. For a parent that is the most traumatic event that can occur. It seems that you still have a solid connection to Jason. May it always be so.

Warm regards,

Winslow

Ricky1024,

Very enchanted atmosphere, non-judgmental, thought provoking, very enjoyable and thrilling. Well chosen words are expressive. Very informative and soulful, full of vivid impressions, effective and impressive.

There was no SPAG. No room for improvement.

I look forward to seeing you again.

Love you,

Oatmeal

First of all, I am sorry for the grievous loss of your son. Your pain pours out in your poem in a song of lament, longing, and questioning God "Why?" This is a particularly strong section because it speaks of a father's grief:

"Seasons change and Holidays are arranged and bring...
"Nothing but Heart-Ache and pain...
"Long, lost, regrets as I continue to sing...
"Continue to sing in vain...

Your sweet poems, such as this one, helps you communicate with your son on a personal and spiritual level. In the conversation you imagine, he speaks words to you, "But(, Dad), there's still (too) much work that must be done." Your son does not want you to come join him now in Heaven, but for you to stay and continue writing poetry. This is a powerful message.

On a technical level, my suggestions are in parenthesis. Your free verse lyrical poem may also read more smoothly without the quotation marks on every line.

Once again, I am sorry for your loss. Writing poetry is a means of processing it.
