So one day when you hate your job
and don't make the big dough,
come see me for a visit
'cuz I'll be CEO!
'

Yup, this could have been the story of so many kids out there. That ending absolutely rocked!

Good luck with this,
Apky

haha that ought to tell the bullies! I enjoyed your poem. Good job on the rhymes & smooth flow & the message. This isn't categorized as a poem. Best wishes in the contest. Jan

Way to nail it! All kids can relate to this but especially those who have been bullied or made fun of. Good job combining an important lesson with a little humor!

It certainly must be the story of so many kids, adults too.
My granddaughter expressed very much the same emotion to me very recently. She's happy with her 'nerds'! Can' blame her, they're awesome.

I'm sure that children would enjoy your poem, perhaps even in book form. ???
Simple, to the point, emotional, but uplifting.
You did a great job.

I adore this poem. I am--or was--a nerd. Not of the computer variety, but of the I-like-to-learn variety. It was tough. You would think thirteen years of Catholic school would garner a person some support, but I think the kids are meaner there than they are in public school.

Your poem made me laugh a couple of times. I love the moral of the story. Great post--you have my vote.

Excellent. A great motivational poem. Well written with no nits, clearly expressed, and great to read. Good luck with this in the contest. To me, it's a clear winner.

Read somewhere long back.. 'Be nice to the nerds, you may end up working for them.' Also one who gets bullied might be the one having the last laugh when the tables get turned! A nice attempt at motivational poem for kids. Best wishes.

I love it when a bullied child comes out on top. Bullies are all cowards when on their own. I just wish all children realised that. Well done to your brother if this is was like him. I bet your proud of him. Well done and good luck in the contest. :) Sandra xx

I think this could be the story of Bill Gates, too. He probably wasn't the most popular kid in his class, but he certainly beat them all now! I think this would be a good story to tell kids when they are bullied.

Dear Mystery Poet,

This is soooo true! All the nerds in high school turn out to be the successful people in real life and all the jocks and cheerleaders don't know what to do with themselves after all the attention fades!! Good luck!
