Hello, my friend. Sorry I have been among the missing lately. Busy trying to get things organized for publishing my book. Plus, I just need a break. I will be dropping in from time to time though.
Right now I wish I had six stars for you for this gem. I loved every line. It is a wonderful poem, Sandra. Bless you, Bob

Thank you so much, Bob, for taking time out to read my poem. I know how busy you must be and I hope it's going well. It's a superb book. I'm really pleased you enjoyed my poem, and just reading your words is 6 stars. Big hugs, my friend.

If we could turn back time again and have a second go--
but taking with us things we did and all we came to know.
I wonder what we'd change about the lives we live today,
would we still walk the route we took, or go a different way? ... I would still embark on the route I took originally, Sandra.
The paths we choose in life make us who we have become today.
And while my life is far from perfect, I like my life and the person I've become.
Nice write, thanks for sharing.

It's all a learning experience, isn't it, Dean. As I am pulled ever faster into my winter years I find myself looking back at times I've enjoyed, and not. But as you say, the choices we made back then make us who we are today. Thank you so much for reading, my friend and your lovely words. :) Sandra xx

"...nothing else quite like it(;) time's a..." - needs punctuation here, I think...
Otherwise, I must say, not only is this beautiful, I bet it resonates with many, as it does me, my dear Sandra!

Thank you so much, Dawn, for your wonderful words. I have put a semi colon in that line now, thank you so much for that. I'm really pleased you liked this one. Big hugs, my dear friend. :) Sandra xx

I remember the song "If I could turn back time." by Cher. Still I think your poem says it all. All too quickly our youth disappears and when the grey hairs turn to white; winter of our lives takes a bite. Well done Chum.

An emotional poem, Sandra, and one we can all relate to. Who doesn't wish for a few moments to live over to fix mistakes, take back words, or do something we wished we had done. Your poem is moving and memorable.
Smiles,
Karyn :-)

I think as we age, regret starts to seep into our minds about what the things we did or didn't do when we had the chance. Thank you so much for reading my poem, Karyn, and for the lovely comments. Big hugs, my friend. :) Sandra xxx

I would do all that too. Lovely poem... something to dream about and perhaps wish for, but the fact is that we had our chance. We did okay, though we might have done better. One thing I would do is travel to England to see a dear friend. :)

Aww, that would be so nice! I would love to come visit with you, too. But, bones and cash are lacking. But, I have had the pleasure of getting to know you and read your wonderful books. Thank you so much, my dear friend, for the 6 shiny stars, love you to bits!! :) Sandra xx

I truly love the flow and rhythm of this piece. It matches your thought and sets the pace. No problems noted and a true wonderful read. I for one would not, it has made me who I am and the time I had with my kids has been great

That is the problem, the things we didn't like are connected to the things we love. I would change a few things that I did wrong or things I didn't do when I had the chance. But, I've had an interesting ride, lol. Thank you so much, Barb, for your lovely review. :) Sandra xxx

This is a very interesting piece. I like how you flirt with regret but embrace the life you've lived. The piece has a very light feel to it, without a lot of heavy regret, as a life well lived. Good job and good luck.
