You did a wonderful job with the challenge that was presented to you. Very nicely created impressions that are very vivid and understandable. Well written work. Perfectly arranged.

There was no SPAG. No room for improvement.

The words you chose worked well. I look forward to seeing you again.

Love you,

Oatmeal

What a very fine satori line! A result to be striven for, indeed. Getting nations to address this problem with a united front seems to be heart-breakingly difficult. I should like to see this poem on the notepads of each delegate at these forums!

You did a great job with the haiku style. The syllables are correct. Your message is strong.

I know what you are saying, but I am a bit confused. It seems to me the 'poacher extinction' satori could mean they are trying to save the poachers, too which I know isn't what you meant.

Best wishes in the contest. Jan

This haiku, Nations Strive to Save, has a nice build up of what we want to keep from being hunted to extinction, and a nice satori of who must go. Nice.

Nations try and hope to save but corruption in those same governments is where the real problem lies. Greed has no bounds and definitely no conscience but still we live in hope! A nice thought provoking nature haiku friend. Good luck!

Charming Haiku of an existential situation, something everyone can relate to and understand. Very effective Satori. Good luck on the contest.

Very good entry for this contest, author. Haiku have a specific requirement, that often turns an author away, but I believe in the discipline. Your 'take' on the theme of Nature is very good, and emotive. Good luck in the contest.

Poaching is Africa's equivalent of the drug trade. It won't stop until greedy collectors stop buying their illegal goods. They are the ones who should be punished.

Thank you for your great review and comments for my haiku, Thomas. I appreciate your time to write your kind response. I agree if the industries using the products from the animals were punished, it would help to stop the poachers.

A very well-written haiku about the struggle to save the elephants, rhinos and tigers from extinction by fighting poachers that slaughter these animals for traditional myths.
