Thesis--
While excellent, and certainly your daughter deserves all the praise you shower upon her, I do not find anything here that renders this "exceptional." Your parental concern, devotion do, but that's not writing. I am not sure what I would need to give this a six, but something that moves it into the realm of "literature." One extraordinary image or description might do.

It is always satisfying to see one's child succeed. The drive and commitment often are obtained from the examples set by the parents. It is also satisfying to help in any way possible.

This story, Proud Parents, is a nice breath of fresh air as I am used to reading increasingly depressing stories about the next generations washouts. Good to hear of up-and-coming, tenacious young people making their way into the heart of the beast.
