This is a lovely, well written Etheree poem for the contest, StarKat.
There are several fine examples of alliterative phrasing all throughout, and your word choices, while very eloquent, are easy to understand and comprehend.
This should be a very strong contender, I would think.

Thanks, Dean! That's classy you can write your name with stars - ' the sky's a blackboard high above you,, and if a shooting star comes by, you can use that star to write ... Hi starkat,

This is an exceptional etheree poem. I love the picture you chose for illustration, it is absolutely perfect with your words. Each line is of the proper syllable count. So often these can sound stilted or incomplete due to the limited syllables available. That is not the case with this one. The perfect word to describe it is poetic. A very beautiful selection with excellent use of the consonance of f, r, s, and t.
