Hi Sandra, excellent rhyme, rhythm, meter, and flow. I felt sorry for this poor guy. I wonder where his love went and why she disappeared or left him.

Mine is a bit late, but yes, it's still going. I've been out of it for a few weeks, (months!) but back now. Thank you for reading it, and for the nice words. Big hugs, my friend. :) Sandra xxx

-A really good poem for this challenge, Sandra.
-Excellent rhyme, meter, imagery,
and story about this man.
-I like the comparison of his feelings
to his walking in the rain and the love
no longer in his life.
-She had been the joy in his life, then
"His love had gone away, he knew not where, or even why"
-The last four lines are so vivid and so sad, as well.
-An excellent job in depicting this man, Sandra.
-So glad to see you on FS.

Bless your heart, dear Pam, thank you so much for all those lovely stars, they do look amazing, and another thank you for the wonderful review. I'm back now, properly, and I've started the sequel. I have had Mildred chewing my ear for too long now, so I really had to make a start. Big hugs, my dear friend, I've missed you too! :) Sandra xxx

You are very welcome for the stars and review, Sandra. "Oh, Lordy, Miss Sandra, we're going to be back on FS." Glad to hear that news and see what you will have in store for us. 🙂 Have a good day. Will be raining for most of it here.

Hello Sandra,
I knew you'd sneak a little romance in there
even if it is only one stanza
If she left, somehow it seems his efforts are in vain
but still he walks and searches
Almost sonnet-like in the structure of the poem
with splendid mystery obscuring the final couplet
A very fine interpretation of the art work
Good to see you posting again, my friend
Very well done

Thank you so very much, dear Robert, for the lovely 6 stars. It was wonderful to wake up and read your review, and a great start to the day. I've started the sequel now, only because Mildred kept on at me! I'll post it once I have a few parts ready. I'm delighted you enjoyed my poem, I will keep those up too. Big hugs, my friend! :) Sandra xxx

This goes well with the picture and so eloquently told of a grieving person who seeks his beloved at a time when the weather suits his emotional state of being.

What a lovely review thank you so very much! And a humungous hug for the 6 stars, my dear friend! On a Friday too!! The picture of the man in the rain looked so sad, so I went with it. I'm really pleased you liked it, thank you! :) Sandra xxx

This sonnet tells the sad story about what lost love can do to some people. Either she lost a wonderful man who loved her or a man who maybe was too obsessed by her that he scared her away. He should move on and find someone else.
