This is a very interesting and good poem you have penned my friend. Some times it feels really good to shed some tears. You used very good wording and great imagery through your words. Blessings, Teri

Oh I let the emotions flow quite frequently. They do have a bit of a cleansing effect. They are indeed revealing. Good job Dip.

A very well-written poem. Tears do cleanse the soul, it is also known as a prayer to God when he have too much pain to find the right words to talk to God.

I have not heard it before. I wouldn't class it as a cliche -- yet. It is the sort of poetic remark that could easily become one. This little piece is another gem from down under. Thanks for sharing.

In response to your author's note - the cliché is "The eyes are the windows to the soul." So this makes the lines, "Tears are the windows to your soul, I love that cliché , I love its feeling," a little flimsy. You compare tears in the first line as raindrops of the soul. Naturally, raindrops fall upon windows - so there is a metaphor in there somewhere that could have been used in the last stanza - though I can't come up with one right now.

If our eyes are the windows to our soul, then it would stand to reason that our tears would be the raindrops that patter against the window. Your analogy is sound and well worth writing about. Thank you for sharing,

The anology is a beautiful one and it certainly made for a beautiful poem. I never heard this before but it was probably said in some other book or poem. I really just started doing so much reading here in Fan Story. Before Fan Story I only had time to read my spiritual information and the mommy letters from school or employment stuff so I'm glad I saw it first in your poem. great poem!
