I do not think there is such a thing as true happiness as humanity is never satisfied and therefore never happy. Ilike the poem and the background colour as well as the picture. Thank you for sharing.

You've tackled a perplexing topic. In doing so you've brought your readers much happiness and much food for thought.
You ask: In its pursuit, can we ger sick? One possible answer: perhaps lovesick.

Good morning, Patty

Liked the rhyme and imagery. So may things large of small can bring true happiness provided we recognize what they are and appreciate it Enjoyed.

Take care and stay safe,

What about our deepest desire?
Will its fulfilment do the trick?
What will bring us true happiness?
In its pursuit, can we get sick?

Is this one of life's mysteries?
Is finding it a big success?
Will failure crush our very soul?
What will bring us true happiness?'
God and love bring us happiness, nature, family and love. This is a wonderful poem well done, Meia x

A wonderful and thought provoking poem. Happiness is defined on so many ways but your poem challenges us to look deeper. I like the way you presented this. Very crisp and clear.

I enjoyed reading this.
Wow! A poem full of questions. Very interesting. It makes the reader think.
My favorite: 'What will bring us true happiness?'
The artwork is lovely. The image shown supports the poem. The background color goes well with the art.
Thanks for sharing your Quatern.
Good luck with your future writing.

Hi Nicole; thank you for stopping by to read and review this poem. It was fun to write, and I'm glad you found it thought provoking. The artwork is a picture of some flowers I received this week, and I purposely blended the color wheel to get the background color just right. I'm glad you enjoyed,

Thanks for sharing this poem, Mustangpatty1029.

Your poem reminds me of what can happen if you try to create true happiness via a material item. Many times it doesn't work since it is only temporary. :-) JW

You've followed the quatern rules precisely. Promotes some challenge to the creation of the lines. Like the rhyming scheme and the easy read.
You bring up some familiar questions, again I must ponder over a few of them. lol
good penning

This certainly is an age old quest and sought after answer! Each of your
inquiries has been sought by kings, queens, emperors, guru's, dreamers
and the poorest, world wide in various ways, times and places. To date,
there does not seem to be anyone who has found the "Holy Grail" of
happiness, unless they have coveted so and not shared it!
Perhaps, there is no one true answer what brings us 'happiness'.
Happiness is not something someone can bring or give to another, or
more would be doing it and more would be happier! Rather, I thin
happiness is an awareness or state we are in that we know it and are
so well content or blessed with it, that it does not need nor have to be
pegged as 'happiness' per se. If one is not basically content and comfortable
enough within themselves and their life, no one can actually create a kind
of euphoric kind of 'happiness' for someone, and if such occurs, does not
remain permanently or irrevocably. Happiness is not a complete state or
attainable status, and for most, is only momentary at best or occasional.
We have to know and identify our own kind of happiness....and be grateful
for it evermore.
Thanks for sharing a most challenging inquiry to ponder on.
Best wishes, Ronn
