Hi,

What will bring us true happiness?
Is it the sweet caress of love?
Or could it be a simple song
Sent to us from heaven above? -- I really like this stanza. Maybe because it resonates with me. Many times, music soothes me and makes me happy.

I think gratitude can bring great fulfillment into our lives. Be grateful for everything you have.

Good

This is a decent example of the type of poem that you were going for. It had several elements of what makes up all good poems. It was pleasing to read, the rhymes were fairly clean though some felt forced. The content was a little rehashed and generic but overall I could see this in the middle of a published book of this type of poetry.

This quatern, True Happiness, has the correct set up and asks the ancient question about what brings us real contentment. We all know its both security and helping others. That is why a philosophy that contains being our brother's keepers is the most popular.

God only knows.What is happiness actually ?What will make you absolutely happy? If one makes a list things that is needed for happiness will that list stay the same or will it change?Can the same things make us happy always?
The form is very interesting, moreover this form is ideally suited for this topic.

As to the question. It has been asked in hundreds of years, dear Patty, and I wonder if there is ever any one group of answers, fo sadly, to be happy one must encounter sadness or would never be worth...yet, we can almost always hope for a common denominator. That is love :)
