I think, your story was adorable. I am very much a cat person myself, and have been involved in animal rescue for over 10 years.

They are such precious creature, cats. They love me too, don't know if I am a cat magnet though (lol).

This story struck a deep cord in me. Thank you.

Your life story in 150 words is super!

Thank you for reading and your lovely comments. I have found homes for many cats too after finding them along the road or they get dropped off here. I can't keep them all even if I would love to. So glad you are helping the beautiful creatures.

It seems like cats are attracted to me no matter where I go. I often go to other folks homes where they tell me their cat doesn't like strangers. Their cat or cats are soon sitting on my lap or rubbing against my legs. I don't know what it is, maybe they sense I love them. Then again, maybe I give off some aura or something.
The same thing happens to me, cats follow me evn when I am out walking my dog, they must sense how I adore them this was a terrific piece I enjoyed it so much we cat people must give off an aura of love as I do all cats love M xx

Though I myself am no cat lover, it's dogs for me so I relate to this seeming curse, sad to loose one child but two I can't and won't say I know how you feel, as I was never able to have children, but i do have empathy, need to ask you a question did the cats appear after the two children died?if so have you considered it may be a sign from them knowing your passion I sense for all animals are your friend, it's a true fact that animals have high senses then we humans do. They know if a person can be trusted not to hurt them. I'm pleased to read you found love and are happly enjoying your retirement, but I sense the cats keep you on your toes.
A lovely write with a good structure, from your first line to your last.you packed a whole lot of your personal life which is very brave. Thank you for allowing me a peep into your world. Good luck in the contest a very easy to read on a coffee break

It could be you carry the scent of the other cats with you, therefore cats know you are friendly to cats. LOL However they do seem to have a sixth sense about who is a friend and who is an enemy. They are wonderful companions. Good entry, Nancy

Thank you. They do have a sixth sense about who likes cats. A gentleman came to our home years ago all dressed up in an expensive suit. I was horrified when one of my cats jumped on his lap. He just laughed and started petting the cat. it seems he was one of us crazy cat people.

I've always considered myself a chick magnet. I had a similar experience but it involved baby chickens. They were such a nuisance.

Dear Mystery Writer,

Funny - I know several people here that your story could apply to... I'll have to check and see if my guess on authorship is correct. *smile*

Some notes:
1.) I spent my childhood on a fruit farm (w)here we always had lots of cats.

2.) Married in 1966(,) I gave birth to three sons, but only one survived.
--> I'm sorry, btw. --frowny face--

3.) I divorced in 1978 and moved to Shelby, Michigan for one year with my son, two cats,
--> what happened to the other child?

Thanks and good luck in the contest!

Thank you fro reading and commenting. I only had one son left when I moved to Shelby. Of the other two, one died because he was premature, and the other died of viral pneumonia when he was two months old.

Where does one begin editing when trying to tell a full life's story in 150 words or less--I found your theme of cats added a positive thread that blended the events of your live and lead the reader from one event to the next. Interesting "idea magnet" and enjoyed the humor at the end "what if I attracted snakes instead?"

Cats know who likes them & who to trust. I enjoyed reading your life story in short. Once a cat person, always a cat person. I am known by my family a the cat whisperer. I love cats. Yes, they find you [& me]; but God sends them because he knows they will be treated well. Good job with the prompt. Best wishes in the contest. Jan

Thanks for reading and the wonderful comments. I'm so glad there are others, like you, who appreciate cats for what, and who, they are. They are unique animals, like little people with fur. LOL

Wonderful, I love cats. Always had them. We used to have five now down to three. So sorry about your loss of your children. Glad you still have one son. Good luck in the contest. All best. Ulla:))

Thank you for reading and commenting. Sadly, I have no sons now. Read the story called A Dog Named Dog and you will understand.
