Well now, if you'd attracted snakes you definitely wouldn't of had as many cats, ha ha. We have two, my wife and daughters out voted me when we had to choose dog or cat unfortunately. I have learned to appreciate them over time : ) Nice!

That you love them, is something they can sense.

Thanks again for another great review. Cats are strange very selective about who they spent time with. Nothing can ignore you like a cat who doesn't like you.

There is only one little change I would make. "Michigan for one year with my son, two cats and a dog."
The issue is redundancy. You have the word one twice too close together. I would change one of them. "Michigan for a year. Or, two cats and a dog.
I would go with the latter because the way that you have it seems a little clunky.
Other than that you've done a great job here.

I was never a cat lover until my husband, who never asked for anything, suggested he may buy a cat? As he never asked for anything, how could I refuse. So we bought a cat front he British Cat's Protection League, A little kitten then called Jake who we kept for 17 years. He was independent, fit, funny and a joy. My husband always fed him, but it was me he always sat by and wanted to be with, why is that? Anyway, when my husband died, the cat was so distressed and bewildered that he also died a week later, a very sad time that was, thanks for sharing your cat story, you brought back memories for me, love Dolly x
