I can totally understand. I was curious about what was meant by "used" cat but I understand now. I had a cat bonding experience just like yours and I still miss mine. Thanks for sharing your story about Simba.

I love anyone who takes in an older animal. Obviously, Simba appreciated it by giving you a lot of love in return. Your Simba looks a lot like my Cachew.

What a lovely story about Simba.
I know just how you feel. I've lost some over the years that were quite special.
Good luck in the contest.

Hi,
This is a nice tribute to your pet that died. This piece is also very well written.
His chatter made me laugh, and we used to have long conversations. -- imagining this made me smile, too.
I had a stray female dog that meant a lot to me, too.
Good luck.

What a wonderful tribute to the memory to Simba. You described his antics very well, which allowed the reader to be able to visualize him doing his thing. I am so glad that you bonded well and he became your buddy. People sometimes misunderstand the importance of pets in one's life. Great job, thanks and good luck in the contest.

Such a lovely tribute to a fat cat. Made me smile.
I have such a beautiful animal - except he's a fat DOG! JoJo, the Maltese, is over 15 pounds. He's ten years old. Can't bear to think of the day ...
Best wishes for the contest.

Simba certainly was a beautiful creature. It must have been like nursing a baby and he seemed to have a real spiritual connection with you. I found your piece very readable and enjoyable. Good luck.

Lovely story about a happy cat. I have a fat cat too, they are great. But she's still mad and chases my toes at 2am when they poke out of the covers. Thanks for sharing and have a great day

Comment from Meia (MESAYERS)
We were lucky enough to enjoy his company for another five years. His antics brought much laughter and his big heart encompassed mine. At only nine years old, he was gone. I have missed him every day since. He was unique and most definitely far from used, or less than perfect.'
Simba looks incentical to my cat Beauty who we adopted and he died age 9. He behaved exactly like your Simba and even weighted the same. He was amazing and I miss him every day. This reminds me of him so keenly. I will alwys at heart be a cat person though I love dog love Meia x

Hi Meia; Simba was an incredible cat, and I'm glad to know you had a similar cat love in your life,
-
they could be twins in both looks and personality! So sad to lose them both at 9 xx
