And what a wonderful bouquet they make too! Dandelions are so hardy and should be celebrated as should your fabulous poem, best wishes, love Dolly x

Yes, I treasured many a bouquet of dandelions. Little tiny suns picked by tiny little hands:)

Wonderful haiku:)

A very well-written haiku. A child only sees the beauty in everything. The beautiful yellow of the dandelion is the attraction for a child and he loves to bring flowers to mommy

Hello my friend,
Hope the week starts well for you.
You're so right with "Dandelions".
I remember my son, especially in the summer months
when the days became longer, would play out
with his friends till later than he was supposed to
come back for dinner. And each time he came in late,
he'd have a bunch of wild flowers he'd picked in the
fileds: "This is for you, Mummy. Sorry I'm late."
And a mother simply melts....

What's a weed to one is a precious flower to the other.
This is a cute topic for a haiku. Made me smile. I can just imagine the kid's eager face when presenting the flowers.
Thanks for sharing. :)

Only through the Eyes of a Child can One See the Beauty of Nature where there are No Limitations of Love.

With the Imagery of Color High-Lighted with Complimenting Verse One can Visualize the Child...the Bouquet...and...the Mother Portraying Expressions that are Without Description.

Very Nicely Done Irish...Q.T...Phil.

Just about all postings anymore are with Images.
I have had to step back a little to re-educate and recognize the invisible Image...Dandelions was a good test for bringing about the Invisible Image along with Watermelon Seeds.
    Very Nice Girleen...Q.T...Phil

Such a sweet and innocent gesture of love...this is a lovely reminder in few simple and pleasant words. I can envision bringing some to my kindergarten teacher who happened to be allergic...nice write

I collected dandelions as a child and gave my mother a bouquet. I still see them as flowers not weeds. Your poem gives the reader warm feelings and takes her back to another place.

Is a dandelion a vine...? Just askin'...

You have a penchant for hitting the chords that tug at the ol' heart strings, missy. This will be yet another fine instalment in the upcoming prestigious volume, 'Book Of Hair Do'..I have no doubt.

Apparently you can eat them...dandelions, I mean. Not toddlers.

Thanks for asking, DandyAnt...a major goof on my part. Vines was the topic before this one--weeds. So, I did done fixed it right up.

Thank for clarifying toddlers shouldn't be eaten. I understand the weed makes a good wine. Hopefully not to be served with toddlers bearing bouquets.

Thank you for your kind words, AntMan. I hope it gets selected for the Hair Do Anthology. I hope you're right.
Thanks for always reviewing my stuff. You're da man!

Yeah, well. You gotta collect them stars...

Toddlers bearing bouquets...is that like Greeks bearing gifts?
