Very sweet. Young children give only from the heart. . . .what a lucky mom.
This will be the first of many bouquets, they start young and not every child thinks to do this which makes it extra special. Then to write about the experience with so few words says it all.
Lucky mom. :)

I really love this haiku! It was an excellent entry for this contest and so happy that you received the awards for your work. It is difficult to find the words to express my admiration for your work.

Kar,
You excel at these short form poems, and this one is strongly emotive. I guess Alvin would call this a seikatsu haiku. I hope this made it into the book. I smiled when I read your author notes: dandy lions. :) Well done, my friend.

Indy, we had a house full at Easter, kids, grandkids, dogs and yes, dandy-lion bouquets (or as Ariacslled then ye-wo fow-ers).
Your poem rings a whole bunch (pun intended) of truths about dandelion picking.
I enjoyed this. JohnnyD

IndianaIrish - a lovely haiku poem describing a bouquet of innocence in the dandelion flower. A tender memory to hold onto with love from and for a sweet child. The background colour adds depth to this piece. Well done and thank you for sharing this enjoyable read. ~DD

What mum hasn't received a bouguet of dandelions? It is so special. Dandelions are wee bursts of sunshine. This is so simple yet so poignant, well done. Enjoyed. MaggieF

What a cute picture you painted in three short lines of the love of a child for mom! Simple, sweet and straight from the heart. A great addition to the anthology.

This reminds me of the dandelions my daughter use to bring me as child and the many children in my kindergarten classes over the years who brought me a dandelion when they came in from recess.

Dandelions are little suns in the green sea of grass
Perfect for a toddler's bouquet
Nicely done with solid imagery and connection
and a fine satori line
Well done for the vine? chapter of the haiku book
