An easy read and enjoyable, I found a smile in my first read and returning I realized there was a few other smiles hanging out inside the metaphor value in this gem.

thank you for stopping by to read my Monchielle poem with my dogs as the subject. This was a challenging poetic form to follow, but I'm very happy with the result - I'm glad you are, too.

My husband and I spend so much of the day admiring and loving our dogs. I so agree with your poem it is a delight to read and so much truth. Enjoy the love of them every day. It is terrible when they have to leave.

Mustangpatty1029,
The arrangement is formatted very well. Chosen explanations are made very clear and descriptive. Emotional reflections are insightful and impressive. It was a pleasure to read.
I saw no SPAG and no typos. Everything looked in place.
The words you chose worked very well.
I look forward to seeing you again.
Love you,

This was so cleverly written and such fun to read. I had never heard of this form of poetry until I read your author notes. Noting the challenge of writing this poem with so many rules, I feel you did an excellent job. The rhyming part is never strained, and at the end I had a smile on my face!

Your poem makes my day as I review it with a pup in my lap. Your poem celebrates the joys and messes of dogs. Your Monchielle poetry form is well rhymed and structured with a "pretty pups" refrain that hooks me. Thank you for sharing your ode to dogs.

This is a form with which I am totally unfamiliar. It works well for a light-hearted dedication such as this. Strange how we forgive them whatever evil they perpetrate. The make great friends and their loyalty is untrammelled.

Hi Jim; Sandra du Plessis posted a poem using this format the other day, and I tried it from the author's notes she provided. I am having a great time trying out new forms of poetry. It keeps my mind sharp! Thank you for your warm words,

As a dog lover, I can thoroughly relate with each and every word. Put together as you've done makes it a great read and entertaining as well. However, I wasn't as lucky as you with your very last line. LOL

LOL! You aren't the only one that has shared that the dog ate your shoes. The only thing we lose to chewing is the occasional sock. Howie believes that if its on the ground for too long - its fair game. Thank you for your warm review,

Pretty pups can certainly make one's day. They've been known to cheer up people in a nursing home and make sick children smile. Great job with this type of poem, and you have joyful images of the furry faces and cold noses and the way they play. I like your use of the word "ruse." Clever last line. Yours are well-trained if they don't eat shoes. You do mention a few other problems the little darlings can create. judi

You are the lucky one.
My dog destroyed several pairs of shoes when he was a puppy.
He's moved on to plastic pop bottles.
Lovely poem about your pups.
Great descriptions and imagery.
They are absolutely adorable.
A wonderful muse to have.

Hi Michael; I AM lucky that the dogs aren't chewers. The only thing we've lost is the occasional sock that drops on the floor for too long. Howie seems to think that any sock on the floor is his. He puts his paw on one end and uses his teeth on the other. It isn't too long before the sock is useless. Yes, the boys make wonderful muses.
