"Pretty Pups Make my Day" is an extremely well-written and entertaining piece. This talented poet's work was a pleasure to both read and review. ~patty`, this is so very refreshing.

~patty~, you're more than welcome. If I was a dog my tail would be wagging too.

    Best wishes, the Duchess

The repetition of the line pretty pups make my day gives emphasis to the affection that is obvious in this poem for the puppies. The imagery is vivid and depicts the pups in various moods and antics throughout the day. The form is complex but is done so smoothly it is barely noticeable.

This is a form I haven't seen before, but any puppy poem is bound to be good. They make the best material. Nicely written, my friend~Debbie

I do believe this is the first time I have ever seen or heard of a Monchielle. I am not even familiar with the poet accredited for the form. That being said I really can not say much about the form other than I think you have met the conditions for you have set forth in your author notes and done well, very well. Read aloud your poem is fluid with a quick pace. It seemed almost as if it was over too soon. I wanted to know more. It like meeting a new friend and just discovering some common interests when one suddenly has to leave. That is not a criticism by the way. I am sure you could go on and on and on... After so many years I imagine you have a book's worth of tales to tell. The rhyme is simple (I can't do it) and engaging. Overall a fine, fine poem.

Your fur babies sound like they are sweet and a lot of fun. I feel the same about mine. I know they bring you much joy.

They are the cutest and you've described them so well. Their playful side really comes out here, playing hard and then taking a break. Love the photo. I also like the Monchielle, which I've not heard of before but looks like fun to try. Marilyn

Your poem about dogs was so fun to read. It really conveyed to me how much you love dogs. I always wanted a tea-cup sized Chihuahua. I heard that small dogs are more ferocious than large dogs. Is this true? Anyway, thank you for writing this poem because it made me want to have a pet. You are awesome and you are worth it. All the best, Maggie

Here we have all the delightfulness of puppies and just one or two of their less delightful moments thrown in for the sake of reality! Sadly, all the puppies that I've ever had, did eat shoes and not only my favorite 'Hush Puppies'! Nonetheless, their "fuzzy toes and tummy" always seem to have won them a reprieve!

thank you so much for stopping by to read and review. I so appreciate your story about your puppies eating shoes. For some reason, I haven't had any problems with chewing from these guys. Howie is four and Bernie is two - and the worst thing they do is steal a sock if it hits the ground,

Well aren't they just beautiful? They would certainly make my day too. Looks like a fun form, for a fun poem. My son has a pup that DOES eat shoes, ha ha...blessings...

Adorable. As a breeder (past) of puppies, I know the joys of puppies and watching their antics. I had between four and nine at a time, and I really miss them now that we've had the parents neutered.

Hi Phyllis; my furry boys aren't exactly 'pups' anymore. Howie is four, and Bernie is two, but to see their antics, you would think they are under a year old. I'm sure you miss having puppies around - I do, too. Thank you for the nice review,
