I love dogs too. You know a dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than you love yourself. Great poem and thanks for sharing.
All the best...

Hi Bill; thank you for dropping by to read and review. Isn't it lovely that we have someone to love us so much?

I think there would more poetic forms that I've actually written, and I've written a few! Well done, highly descriptive, smoothly and deftly crafted, with skilful rhyming choices, well done, Patty, blessings, Roy

Hi Roy; the Monchielle poetic form was fun to work with. I had a good time trying to fit my words within the framework of this intricate format. You should try one! (the instructions are included in my author's notes.) Thank you your warm review,

Hi Jill; thank you for reading my cheerful poem about the boys. They laughed with joy when I read it to them yesterday,

Good morning, Patty
Only one who has had the pleasure of raising puppies can understand the joy and happiness they bring into one's life. Enjoyed,
Take care and stay safe,

Hello again Mustang Patty 1029:
Your dogs are pretty. Two dogs, I miss my one tiny doggie. She was a Peki Pom, half Pomeranian, half Pekinese. I had to give her away to my Sister In Law since my Landlord actually has, "NO PETS" in the lease.
But your dogs are precious and so is your poem

Hi - the cream colored dog is a Maltese and Pekinese mix. He is a funny little dog, and so is Bernie. I'm so sorry you had to give away your dog. Thank you for the warm review,

Patty,
Your puppies are precious--even if they needed a visit to the groomer.
I enjoyed your poem. Good job with the rhymes & smooth flow of lines, too.
Your repeated line is perfect--it keeps the poem moving & ties all verses together.
Thanks for sharing this fun poem.
I love dogs. Good job Jan

I always enjoy writings based on personal experience, Patty. This is another unique poetic form you've come up with. Though I must admit I am a bit depressed at all of the small dog breeds running around. Whatever happened to the Rin-Tin-Tin German Shepherds or the "Lassie" Collies?

Thanks for understanding - though I personally don't consider any animal a dog if you can injure it with a Frisbee!

They look like two cute little mischief makers Patty. I've not seen this form before but I like it. Your repeater line works well, and a fun finish -
thank God, they don't eat shoes.
Enjoyed,
cheers,
