Aww, such a sweet little poem / haiku. I can imagine the little paws pitter pattering along the floor as they run after the ball. Such a great way to write about their eyes too, brilliant.

Hi Chloe; yes, my puppies inspired this little write. The snack ball is mostly played with by Howie, but Bernie shares in the anticipation of me putting the treats in. As I write, they are both staring at me - I'm snacking on almonds, and they want their share,

I enjoyed reading your poem "The Ball" You kept to the 5-7-5 scheme. I am old fashioned, and I do not agree with keep varying the rules. Next they will be playing 4/4 time and calling it a waltz. Now that would be stupid.

ah, I see it's about puppy play not human play. When I thought about four little eyes, I was still thinking about the ball and wondered if it were a specific kind of ball. It's always fun to see all kinds of creatures at play.

LOL! Since I wrote about my dogs and their snack ball, I had to laugh at your reference to Vegas. However, I guess that for Howie, since he hopes for a treat as he kicks the ball around the room, it IS a bit like gambling. Thank you for your generous review and for making me laugh,

Hi Heidi; - its a snack ball. I fill it up with small treats, and my dogs roll it around on the floor and if they hit it just right, they are rewarded with a treat as it rolls. No worries - I appreciate your honesty,
