A profound write Patty with such faithful sentiments and so appropriate for Easter which has become a happy occasion these days and we often forget the sadness it represents. Resonating words and a joy to read, love Dolly x

A profound Cinquain that distils the meaning of Easter and the sacrifice Jesus made. I cannot add nor detract a word from your poem because it is the Truth. Thank you for creatively sharing your perspective on Easter

Just as Satan the devil seeks to take the holy and make it profane. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, took the profane crown of thorns and made them Holy. A badge of honor and courage. Take that Satan!

I often think of the Passion of Christ particularly at this time which most people see as just being about chocolate eggs not feeling the suffering of our Lord or his sacrifice. Lent seems to have been forgotten by all but the holy. A wonderful poem well done P xxxlove Meia x

Hey Meia; thanks for stopping by to read and review. Yes - too many people have forgotten the true meaning of Easter. It should be a bigger holiday than Christmas. Easter is about His death and resurrection - the act of saving us all. I hope your holiday weekend is blessed,

Excellent poem for this Good Friday, as we await the Rising. So many prophecies fulfilled, as He said, 'It is Finished' and the curtain to the tabernacle tore. Great poem, blessings...

Patty,
You did a great job with your cinquain. All lines are correct with a super message, too. Love the art.

Thanks for sharing. Jan

You have penned an excellent poem that is appropriate to be read on Good Friday, today. I like the fact that you chose the theme of scorn, when in all truth, it was a "crown for a king", a savior. Well done.

A very well-written Cinquain. The crown of thorns placed on his head as a means of making fun of Jesus mocking him as the king of the jews and pressed into hus forehead.

Hello Mustangpatty1029
Your Cinquain
I agree is NO joke to crown Our Lord with a crown of thorns as he was scorned hwile He was fulfilling the will of His Father.
