Thank you for sharing your stand on the death penalty. I have to admit that I agree with you one hundred percent. I hate to think of the money we spend to keep these folks alive while they exhaust their numerous appeals. Once a jury has rendered their verdict, the thing should be over and done with.
You gave us your essay in very precise and accurate prose. Thank you for having the guts to express an opinion that might not be openly welcomed.

Please do not be a Bleeding-Heart Liberal(,) and try to tell me liquidating the condemned is wrong(,) or that it does not serve (as) a deterrent.
There are a few more places that could use commas, but not necessary. I believe the same thing. My only concern is if they are convicted for something they didn't do. But if they absolutely did, they should be killed. They should actually be killed the way they murdered their victims.

Brett, I am so in agreement with you when it comes to the death penalty. Not only is it necessary, it is supported by the Bible. The one thing I have against the death penalty is that there are far too many years when the victims languish in a state of wondering if there will ever be justice. Patricia

Appreciate the review and the six stars.

your opinion certainly has my vote, Brendan. This would probably be brushed aside as reactive, and without thinking the event through. Especially as I have never even come close to anything that can be classed as homicide, or any crime, for that matter. If someone takes a life purposely, other than in self-defence, should pay the ultimate price. Well written

Well said.
The man who murdered my daughter and her roommate is serving two life terms without chance of parole. Four witnesses testified and the gun was found. I had hoped for the death penalty, but he was a first time offender. I guess they should have let him out to kill again and THEN given him the death penalty!!! He lives while Amanda is dead. I don't feel justice was done.

hear, hear, well said, mate. I continue to wonder why every country and state in the world still does not have Capital punishment. Are the politicians worried it might be their turn some day. or do they have relatives they know would qualify? Thaks again have believed in Death Penalty for years. The Bible says them that take life of them should their lives be required. I have a new chapter up you might be interested in.

I believe in capitol punishment and always will. If they are guilty then so be it. What else is there but to let others kill knowing they can sit and learn how to be lawyers while in prison? Oh don't get me started. Very well written

Well Brett I have to believe I do believe an eye for an eye. Some will argue to let the murderer pine over their heinous act for the rest of their lives but I am not of that belief. I cannot begin to imagine how devastating it would be for the victims loved ones. Its funny my wife is against capital punishment arguing that it does not achieve anything....OH YES IT DOES it eradicates that one evil prick from the innocence of this Earth.
thanks for posting This will be a very contentious issue and a heated debate.

I agree with you.
This is a good commentary. I am sick to death of bleeding hearts and also of political correctness, but I've gone off track.
And you're right, they should be executed sooner - another waste of taxpayers money and as you said. heartache for their victim's families.

Well done on this article. I am glad that some people still value human life. I understand that states waste millions on keeping prisoners alive when the simplest and fairest solution is obvious.
Well written an presented
