Howie licked his chops slowly, and opened his mouth for a big yawn. His tongue curled in an upward motion and his teeth glistened in the dim light of the room. ~ so well written I see Howie and even hear him!
And the pic is so cuuuuuuuute.

That is cheating Patty. Poor dog was quite happy with the pillow hee hee.

Lovely write and in insight into our life with these two fur babies. Mine have never used a box or kong but manage to get plenty of food by doing sad eyes.

Hope you get your spot back lol

hugs

Freda

Hi Freda; thank you for stopping in to read about Howie's latest adventures. We are new to the snack ball, but the kongs are a constant because Howie will chew through just about anything else. IF I try to take my spot back, Howie acts like it is the end of the world. He curls his lips back and pretends to be mad.

You have two wonderful pets that make for entertaining stories.
I always look forward to the adventures of Howie and Bernie.
Howie had his priorities and the snack ball wins out over the pillow and blanket.
I can see that.
The picture is adorable.
A true joy to read.

I love cats as you love Howie. They are so attuned to our ways they almost read our minds. Howie sounds like a cunning little fellow, but he knows his treat ball. Great story. Regards Mabaker

Hi; thank you so much for stopping by to read and review. Howie can be a handful, but he is a constant companion. Along with Bernie, and Fan Story, my days are pretty full.

The descriptions of the emotions and anticipation are great. But I don't know what a snack ball is. Do you put snacks into the ball and the dog has to exercise with it to get the snacks out? Very cute.

Yes, a snack ball is exactly that. Howie is so crazy about his. He wouldn't let me take a picture of it so I could include it with the post. He can be such a brat sometimes! Thanks for reading along,

Awww, that is so incredibly adorable. I love the scene with Howie and his trying to steal the pillow, then giving it all up with the appearance of the treat ball. Way too cute!

A great story. I enjoyed it a lot. I have a cat that follows me everywhere. She sits beside me on the couch. When I get up she moves over to my spot. When I return I have to push her out of the way so I can sit down. I used to think it was because she loved me, then I figured out she just wanted my body heat.

Hi; thank you for stopping by to read and review. Your cat sounds a lot like the boys. I still insist to myself that they steal my spot because they just want to be as close to me as possible, but its probably the heat,

Don't you just love the antics of your pets? They bring so much pleasure to our life especially now that we are older. The problem is our pets are getting older as well. I have already lost Tiger and Buddy, my only cats , and Sara and Buffy-2. Sadie and Freddie are still with us. Fred is the
star. He keeps us laughing although he is getting gray too. Love the story Patty. Nancy

Hi Nancy; Thank you for stopping by to read and review. The boys do keep me entertained. I'm sorry about the loss of your pets, but that's one of the downsides of loving them so much - their time with us is just too short. Your encouraging words are appreciated,
    ~patty~
