I knew immediately the source from which the conversation came! It was flowing right along, it had interest, it set the reader up for the humorous ending. Great conversation.

My brother knows a woman who wrote a book called Went with the Breeze in Nashville.
Loved your creativity here...."Vermillion" made me lol. So did "Moo-oo-oo!"
You wrote, "She'll get me back when the cows come home!" Is this a thought? Or did you mean to say "You'll get me..."??

how 'bout if he was talking to himself? :)
but you're right - shouldn't have put quotes.
There really is a book with that name? too funny!

Talking to himself? Italicize.

was really kidding. you were right.

Poor Brett and Vermillion. Will they ever see the love they are giving up on? Or, as it was in Gone with the Wind, was there never any real emotion in that relationship. Simply a want and a need. Thank you for sharing this humorous look at one of the greatest story lines ever written, (in my humble opinion)

and thank you! Did you know someone wrote a sequel??? several people wrote one and the the author who the committee felt most followed Mitchell's storyline got the job. It is called "Scarlett", by Alexandra Ripley. - in case you're interested.

I read the book as soon as it came out. I liked it, but my mother saw it as blasphemy. It was entertaining and Scarlett and Rhett finally found themselves in a place to live their love. ~p~

that's funny. I guess because it wasn't by Margaret, or maybe she didn't think they should have gotten back together.

An interesting spin on Gone With The Wind.
Seems Vermillion got her's.
Some people just never get the message, do they?
Moo-oo-oo!

This is clever and fun. The language was well done, consistent. Love the diddle-dee-squat, toodle-oo, and "Hey, are you wearing the living room curtains? Cool!"
Well done!

Oh, just excellent! Took my humor-meter for one heck of a ride!
I guess my first clue was the curtains and suddenly the lady's part started to sound high and English! Laugh, laugh. Would love to know the thinking process that got you there, since I find that's half the fun (not to mention success) of writing. Good job. Made
