Yes and a form of tangible gratitude for life's gifts especially that of friendship evoked here with eloquence ...and beautiful imagery 'featherbed /of love'.

The picture does the poem justice and is apropos. A beautiful poem with a good metaphor which says a lot in so few words about being at peace because of friendships.
Nice job!

Hi,
I wished I could live in a cottage and in fact I dreamed about it last night. But what is important in your poem is the symbolism and the theme of friendship. I also liked the dichotomy snow (cold) / warmth, and how they combine in the context.

AWWW, now you went and made me all warm and fuzzy inside!.....
Or it could be a reaction from the squirrel I ate but forgot to skin!... LOL...
After all the top places we've been, it's always nice to have a place such as this...
My compliments on your poem!... Well Done, as far as I'm concerned!...
Oh, and Happy New Year to you and Yours!!

What a unique phrasing with, sleep warm in the feather bed of love. That paints in my mind a lovely picture of a couple snuggling on a cold night. Blessings for the new year. Patricia

This is a lovely poem. I can certainly relate to the cottage, the snow and especially the featherbeds from my Grandmother's house and the fireplaces and warm morning stoves of the past.

I grew up in Minnesota and remember the peaceful feeling that being snowed in can bring. But then I remember the next day and the shovel. Happy New year.

This is lovely, and deep in thought. I read your words three times. Savoring them. Very touching. I am not much of a judge at poetry as I do not know the rules. But anyone can tell, this is outstanding. So few of words, yet it speaks volumes. Very, very nice.

So nice to meet you Daniel, and thank you so much for your lovely and uplifting review! Much appreciated indeed. I'm sincerely delighted that you enjoyed my work here and especially, this time of year when the cuddly warmth of such a cottage as in the picture might mean so much to those in the cold regions. I hope your holidays are totally wonderful! Blessings always! HIS GRAYNESS; Vance
