This is a lovely and romantic Tanka. Nothing more lovely than being with the one your love under a full moon on a warm summer night.
A tiny suggestion:
on Silver Lake on summer's eve
See what you think
Hugs, Lura

Thank you very much, my dear friend, I will Silver Lake is a place and I don't want to repeat the word 'to' so close together. Thank you, though.

You made this tanka version very easy to understand which makes me want to give it a try. The second part of the tanka is very loving. The last line gets me on the word "deliciously", I never thought that word can be applied to a feeling of nothing better. But I guess love means the feel is so good that one can devour it. Thanks for sharing your creativity.

I enjoyed your love poem in the tanka form, embedded in the evocative artwork. Your alliteration of "l's" and "s's" added to the deliciousness! Smiles- Joan

A canoe ride with that special someone on a moonlit night, the sights, sounds, and that little, hint, of something sweet from warm breathing, tickling one's neck. Thanks for sharing another fine poem. :-)

A little slice of Tanka romance, the warm and fuzzy kind... Nice! The accompanying artwork was pretty cool too Gypsy. I live by the biggest fresh water lake in the southern hemisphere, Lake Taupo, google it, it will take your breath away : )

I immediately thought of our recently deceased poet here, Luna, but your poem is fine on its own with well-chosen words which convey a romantic picture and mood. Poem made me say "ahh" because of its well-phrased sentiments of being deliciously content with ones lover. A tanka in fine form. Thank you for sharing.

This does suggest contentment. Lovely picture of summer evening on the peaceful lake. Love makes the picture complete, and the narrator wishes for nothing more. Silver Lake is a great name. It suggests the appearance of the moon shining down. Excellent flow. Beautifully done. judi
