I love this and took a picture in my back yard yesterday that is very similar. I don't know trees like you, but I think mine is a more pink varies of this. It always makes for a great picture in Spring. Anyway, I go around my large yard and take lots of pictures of flowers and plants that have been there for decades. I have what used to be an old farmstead, complete with an abandoned chicken coup, tons of plants.
Anyway, I love this poem and the inspirational tree. This middle line that you've used is SO lovely in particular. This evokes a visual image of as if seeing this tree and scores of others waving in a breeze that has that scent that along with such views that Spring is glorified and almost seared into memory, forever. Love this one. Bruce.

Awesome visual imagery in this one. We have pink one in our neighborhood (just flowering, no fruit) and they were stunning and every street was lined with them. Great work, as always, with this haiku. I enjoyed it immensely.

Thanks a lot, Sasha. When the cherry trees flower here, the mountain is ablaze. It's a sight to behold. We have loads of walkers just coming to watch it. That's right the pink ones are for decoration only, bit the are beautiful as well. Thanks again. All the best. Ulla:)xx

"Sweet cherry dreams" is a great line.

Your lovely picture and haiku tell the story of the cherry blossom. Does the abundance of blossoms really lead to a bumper crop? I imagine that the weather must have something to do with it. In Portland, OR, the trees are dripping with blooms. Thank you for sharing,

Hi Patty, thanks so very much. Yes, weather can change it all. if we get rain at the wrong time it can ruin the blossom. And then comes the time when the fruit is ripe to pick. If we get rain then the cherry will split and cannot be sold. So a lot can still go wrong. But at least it looks as if it could be a very good year after several very poor ones when we had the drought. All the best. Ulla:)))
