Thanks for sharing this. I can't believe he's made it this far to be honest, and I guess we will see where he ends up. Thanks for sharing and have a great day!

A great contest entry for the 5-7-5 trump contest. You summed it up perfectly, the unpredictability at the start to the health care issues. Good luck in the contest.

I hear a lot about the nightmarish aftereffects of Obamacare from local people. The situation is not fixable, save by some form of socialized medicine. The windbag shoulda known that. And this country is ruled by the shysters and quacks, so the mess can only get worse. At least the media has someone to blame. Not a bad five seven five on the clown and his traitorous circus.

Well, I think you should be fairly safe. On a scale of 1-10, this is reasonably innocuous. I hate the thought of FS members being stoned (with stones, that is).
Good job with this 5-7-5. You've got the syllables spot on, and the message is clear, with a nice touch of irony. The photo just caps it off.
Well done, and good luck in the contest. Craig

I heard healthcare is going take more time to clean up than it took to implement. It's an important task though. I got a headache listening and reading the news. I enjoyed your poem. Good luck in the contest.

Only 60 days. Yikes. Your 5-7-5 syllable count is spot on. Your personification of him as a roaring lion is cool, except a lion might take offense. ;o) Yes, executive orders flew, and thankfully his health care plan was stopped.
You packed a lot into a very tight space. Well done.
a lion roared in
executive orders flew
health care stopped him dead

Comment from Dean Kuch
Donald Trump swept to the White House on a tide of divisive rhetoric about building walls and draining the swamp to make America great again.
In his first week in office, the Republican ordered the most radical and controversial sweeping reforms of any president's first days in office in living memory.
Everything you need to know about the power--and limitations--of the Trump administration's favorite new pastime.
As people across the country turned out in droves to protest President Trump's Muslim ban--a breathtakingly evil plan from a man who already has plenty of entrants in that category--many Americans have entirely reasonable questions about the ominous-sounding executive order that got us here in the first place.
This is really embarrassing to us as a nation.
So, what is an executive order, exactly?
Broadly speaking, an executive order is a decree issued by the president that directs members of the executive branch to do what the president says. Executive orders aren't run-of-the-mill instructions, though--they carry the full force of law. When Congress wants to get something done, they enact a bill into law. When it's the President calling the shots, he issues an executive order.
They are supposed to be "doable", however Donald's rarely ever are.
Best wishes to you in the contest, Anonymous Poet.

If only. He is playing golf, like a business man, blowing off steam. He'll be back on the saddle again and again. I like the first line, "a lion roared in". Very clever, and descriptive of his personality. Health care is only one of many trials we have coming ahead for the American people. Now he's on to the pipeline, and doing as much damage, as he can to our environment. He's done a lot and yet, he spends a fourth of his time on vacation. 60 Days. Imagine what will happen when he reaches 100 days in office. Health care may have stopped him, but not for long. By the way, I love the photo of the Donald. It fits the presentation very well. Kudos to you for speaking out.
Take care, Jesse

In just three short lines, you've told what this crazy man has done in his first
60 days. Nothing but sign executive orders and thankfully get stopped with his health care. All we can hope is that he keeps getting stopped and somehow we
get him out of office before it's too late for all of us. Those are my feelings I have
about this poor choice for a leader.

I enjoyed reading your 5-7-5 poem "Has it really only been sixty days?" That is an interesting thought. So how long will the media and cartoonists be able to keep it up? Back to your poem all the lines and syllables were correct.
Best of luck.
