Excellent job in the penning of this poem.
This is a very moving and compassionate
poem. It is sad when some group of people
think, they are better than others; not realizing
in the blink of an eye, it can all be taken away.

None of us own the land, we only get to use it whilst we are here. What happened to kindness? Giving a helping hand to those less fortunate? Your poem makes some very valid points whilst flowing well with good alliteration. I found 'we've burned the welcome mat' very poignant. I wonder if Donald believes in karma? Enjoyed. MaggieF

Thanks for the insightful review. Let's face it, this generation does not want to work on farms and dairys, It is hard, endless work. The Mexicans that are here, some for many years, appreciate the work, higher pay and a lifestyle not found in Mexico. They are peaceful, work hard and pay taxes. Yes, in a perfect world every single person would go through the process, but it is not a perfect world. Canada has welcomed many Americans dodging the draft so circumstances vary. Just alittle compassion and creating a xenophobic frenzy will not help matters. I appreciate your thoughts on this delicate subject. Have a peaceful week end. Cheers, j
