Sadly I don't have a sixth left this week, but I will upgrade on Sunday. Our hearts go out, and you have put our sympathy into your wonderful words. A link through Wordsworth from all people of good will. Thank you so much Tony for the privilege of reading this poem.

This is a tremendous poem, more worthy than I may bestow - star-wise, because I am out, but it is pure inspiration. Everything written here is upon the hearts of any civilized People. I can promise you that this American would gladly stand with Britain anytime, anywhere against these vile, feral animals. What I've seen is sickening and disgusting. I live in Kansas and we can carry concealed guns now like in the Old West and I'm from Abilene. I just bought a good one to have handy, because you just never do know. It's sad that we must find ourselves, perhaps regressing as a society, but it seems to me that obviously there are elements we've let in that weren't worthy.
I promise that we won't buckle to this plague and I'm betting the UK won't either. I recognize your service to your Country in the RAF and thank you as protecting values that our mutual Countries share. I am being sincere and no bull shit, here. Thank you. Take care. Bruce.

Tony,
This is a great sonnet. You know what they say about great minds thinking alike. I reviewed Jim's poem. Your is a great one in its own right. No one can say one is better than the other. They both reflect the sad times we live in with a great choice of words.

Your art/picture is awesome. Your precise choice of words is, too. I like these lines/partial lines the best:

Once more fanaticism sours the air,
Its jaundiced mists designed to creep
And cause despair.

Your ending couplet is a testament to the strength of Britons to overcome this vile act.

Excellent choice of style that you completed well. Your adherence to it created an awesome poem.

Thanks for sharing & caring. Jan

This sonnet deals with a sensational and sentimental feeling concerning the historic Bridge, I liked the octave and sestet as well the conclusive stanza with resolution, as I enjoyed the strong imagery.

Another moving post commemorating the events of March 22nd. I can't believe that so many people were injured and then there were the deaths. We all need to pray for our world - so filled with hate right now. Thank you for sharing your poem and prayer,
~patty~

A fitting tribute to write a sonnet to remember this tragedy. I can't even begin to fathom why a humankind is prone to such evil and mask it in the guise of doing some religious work. I like that you set the poem not only in place but also reference history in time as it gives us hope that we can grow and change.
