A great St. Patrick's day poem.
It was snappy with great rhymes and educational as I learned the seven days of the week in Gaelic.
Love the pace and story behind the words.
Great writing!
Michael

LOL. Yes. Irish faeries can be rather unpleasant. I thank you for you author notes that helped me to navigate. "So began this callous collision." I so like this line for I've found it often to be true.

Thank you for the pronunciation notes because the Irish seem to sprinkle letters about with gay abandon in their written language that are totally redundant when it comes to the spoken language. I have a feeling that you all came over to Wales on a raid and stole some of our letters leaving us with too few and you with too many.

This is a typical simple tale of a broth of a boy being led astray by a cruel colleen who eventually dumps him. The whole romance only takes a week and then no doubt the poor lummox is ready to do it all over again with another. We never learn.

The limerick style is worked in well and if on a couple of occasions you feel like repeating the last line's rhyme a couple of times who are we on the other side of the water to argue with that.

I am truly honored by your kind review. It is thoughtful and kind writers like you that not only make me feel like I am getting my money's worth here but I get to walk away with a wonderful sense of accomplishment, and a bright, write, right inspirational future. "She" is a metephor for meth.

Interesting Irish poem that tells a good story.

Use of Gaelic words adds more depth to the poem.

Notes interesting as well.

This is a very masterfully crafted write my Brother one in which I truly enjoyed both reading and reviewing as it is really worthy of a six star rating but presently I am out of them and for that I do apologize....Cranial Thinker

I hope you had the luck of the Irish on St. Patrick's Day. You are a man of many words - not what I'm used to !!!!! However, I enjoyed the limericks including poetic license. I think it's a challenge to maintain the flow for seven stanzas. So kudos to you. Trisha
Ps I can speak a little of 2 other languages but this looks more difficult,

Some splendid alliteration in this, of which "callous collision" and "sprite and squirrely" are but two examples. Much enjoyed, as is your lesson on the pronunciation of days of the week. I struggle with Gaelic spelling!

Loved this, Badger. This is what I would term, extended Limerick. The humor, story into fantasy, reality and outcome. Nicely done, author. For you and St Patrick's Day, this would have received a six had I had one for its classification.
Bravo.
Have a great day, author.
My best wishes.

Wow,
I have to give my last six for this, especially being an Irish Colleen. The Irish for the days of the week brought me back to my school days.
Well done, I enjoyed the limericks, and the notes.
