I like this so much, for many reasons. I like the creativity of it, the story told, the subtle implications, the Irish impact (I'm Irish too) and the intelligence I find in it. Thank you for writing this and for sharing your talent here. You are an Irish blessing, Darren.

The freedom of its style is marked by the marvelous generation of paragraphs and metaphors that are chained in the poem, greetings and congratulations. I see that is marked like recognized work, congratulations

Did I ever enjoy this poem! Firstly, I liked how you put the Gaelic days of the week before each stanza. I once tried to learn Gaelic in jr high but found it too difficult. But I was obsessed with all things Irish. Still haven't been to Ireland. I think you did a great job with this poem. It held my interest, as did the information below. Bravo!

The mirth of the leprechaun seems a hidden melody to join your tale of "An Irish kid from Reno." Great rhyme scheme and the lilt of the language is evident.

Hi Badger - a well written poem of a journey through the week. Cleverly written. Love found, love overpowering, love lost, all written in a good and articulate way and very amusing. Are you Irish? LOL. Cleverly written and belated Happy St Patrick's Day. Keep writing. Regards Dorothy

Thank you for the St. Patty's poem. And that was educational and really neat to read. Now granted I can't pronounce the Irish wording, but I thank you for the translation and have a great day.

I enjoyed your poem.
The moral is often overlooked when one is lectured to. But, in a poem the moral floats to the top, a message that does not stop, and whose logic one cannot top.
