I expect my extended hand will most likely by grabbed by someone... - just a wee glitch: "will most likely BE grabbed by..."
Of course, there are many, many stories. Those are just a few. My hands cared for my dying mother and performed tasks no son should ever have to. My hands have labored at jobs to survive that were an insult to their talents.
I simply loved how you use words to convey so much.

I don't usually like these kinds of stories but this one, I couldn't stop reading. It tells a sorry tale of people expecting one thing but getting another. Thank you for sharing.

This is a superb piece. I found it very engaging and it would be great to see it done visually with the accompanying music, I love Bach. The way you have taken the idea of a hand as the hook for the piece is very cleverly done. I particularly liked the inner voice of the baby/child. best wishes, Fiona.

A very well-written prose on hands. We seldom think about the importance of our hands, we use it in different ways each day without thinking about it. Sometimes we misuse our hands and do wrong deeds we shouldn't do, we cannot do much without our hands.

There is no shame in having a tender side for those who need it. You know you can handle a bully with no problem at all so that's a plus for your side. Yet you take gentle care of loved ones who need it most
