This is charming, and that is an adorable doggie in the picture. Pets seem to llike a routine, and if the expect treats at a certain time, they had better get them! What a neat ending with more doggie treats arriving. My kittens always spring to attention when I arrive home from the grocery, as they are so eager to see if there's anything for them. I like that you've shown the differences between the two dogs. They can have such different personalities. I enjoyed the tough "discipline" the doggies are forced to endure. Why should they have to do anything to receive a treat? I'm sure they consider it cruel and unusual to have rules. Wish I could get my kittens to get the concept of "rules." judi

Hi, Patty. You're very welcome. I love dog and cat stories! It's amazing how different they can be. My kittens are litter mates, but their behavior is so different. Smokey is more venturesome, and Heather is usually her stooge. judi

Awww, your kitties sound adorable. Howie and Bernie are half brothers. They had the same maltese father, but Howie's mom was a pekingnese, and Bernie's mom was a yorkie. ~p~

They're pretty small, then. The small dogs are so much fun to watch in the dog shows. They're so expressive. judi

I looked at the picture and I was jealous read the story and I was really jealous I have three cats and all they seem to want is feeding what ever time of day or night. I can't teach them to beg or such but when I am feeling low they still cheer me up.So I can imagine how much these two guys mean to you. Thanks for sharing.

I looked at the picture and I was jealous read the story and I was really jealous I have three cats and all they seem to want is feeding what ever time of day or night. I can't teach them to beg or such but when I am feeling low they still cheer me up.So I can imagine how much these two guys mean to you. Thanks for sharing.

What would we do without our fur babies? I'm a sucker for dogs, so naturally, I had to read your story! I enjoyed this cute little read about Bernie. I bet he and Howie can get into serious trouble. My guy loves it when the UPS man leaves a box, too. He gets to 'nose' through it and look for interesting stuff he might want! Someone once told me that the only difference between having a dog in the house and a baby was that you could leave the dog alone all day and not get arrested for it.
Looking forward to reading Howie's side of life.

It sounds like a home full of warmth and love. Four footed friends are some of the best. They are always loyal, forgiving and loving. It sounds like yours are adorable.
