In fact I liked it longer.
Your write has a good story flow. In the other chapter I don't think they would have pulled him out of a meeting. They would have waited until it was over. The meeting are considered to be too important.
I worked in a psych facility for a while doing an internship.
I ran some group sessions.

This is a wonderful story of hope and faith, not so much for the higher power but faith in another human being there when you're on a down trip. I too had to go to the psych ward, and yes I got better from all the shit I was taking. Thank you for this story. Regards Anne.

This section of the story, where I'm coming in, is very enlightening as it is connecting the strategy of combating addiction with a person receiving help. Your notes from previous chapters was extremely helpful for understanding where Gary is now.

I am in the middle of a family FULL of addicts. My dad is 26 years sober, my nephew has been clean for 4 years. The rest of the family is either still addicted, crazy (my niece and me), or dead from complications of addiction.
I love stories of making it!

A well-told chapter in Gary's journey, Patty, and one that I'm sure will be painful for him and those who love him. Mental health issues are so difficult to manage with medication, and that alone seems to lead to roller coaster highs and lows. That was definitely something my nephew struggled with. Then they start to feel good as the meds even them out, so they stop taking them thinking they don't need them...Vicious circle.
