There are less and less bees for some reason and that is so sad. Your two lines of imagery are complete and sets the scene for the last days of summer. It is true, according to the farmer's almanac, it is a predictor of things to come

Poetically sad for the bee, I am a big fan of them. When the bees die out, so goes our ability to grow so many things. I love how in your notes, you credit Mina the dog in pointing out your idea for this inspiration.

This is a wonderful visual expression that could honestly be read with any of the three lines leading, if not for the Haiku requirement.

    Yes, Mary, if Mina had not have sniffed that dying bee every time we passed it on the porch, I might not have written this haiku. Thank you for your review.

This is an excellent, fantastic Haiku; I enjoyed the solid, colourful and meaningful word visual imagery as the poet has rightly stated the fate of the bee in the season.
