This is a very well written haiku. You used very good descriptive wording and very good imagery with your words. No you didn't need a picture with these words. Blessings, Teri

lol! That's a cute haiku. Robins are very vocal birds but I haven't seen them congregate much like the crows or starlings. Hooray for the lawn to get some thatching done.

Thanks for this great review for my spring haiku, lyenochka. Right after a rain or while the dew is still present on the grass, the robins will gather to dig for the worms that come up with the wetness. Not a huge group of them, but enough to have a lawn party. LOL

Karyn :-)

Good Evening, Kar,
You've nailed this one perfectly! Minimalist. Captures an observable moment in time. Present tense. Excellent word economy and effectiveness. A perfect satori! In fact, seeing the phrase, 'lawn party' reminded me of when I was young and in full hue, though quite innocent while in the fraternity, and how we'd go to State for the annual spring lawn party at the RO chapter. LOL.
A superb entry for the book.

Oh, yum! A worm omelet! The idea of robins having a lawn party is cute. They were out in full force in our backyard this morning. Nicely done!

This creates a nice image of spring. So the robins gather and have such fun as they enjoy their breakfast in the early morning. You set up the poem well and have a nice closing line to bring it home. Great job. I hope they choose your poem for the book,
