I read an article this morning stating that an insignificant number of terrorist acts in the U.S. have come from people in those countries on the list. I can see removing Iraq, as the country is in the process of trying to remove ISIS from Mosul and hopefully restoring order. Trump acted too hastily in initiating his original ban. The important thing is doing a better job of vetting those who are admitted. "From whence they came from" is redundant. You could omit the last "from." " From when they came" will do it. judi

You say vetting better is the answer.
Then can you explain why two illegal immigrants were arrested this morning in Houston for kidnapping three 16 year old girls and savagely murdering one of them in a Satanic ritual?
If you can, maybe I will buy into that comment.
These are the types of people Trump is trying to keep out of the United States.
And, vetting them better is not going to solve these types of problems.
A complete ban on them will.

I can see the reason Why trump is taking this stance. But what concerns me is the total blanket ruling which suggest that peoples from any of these mentioned countries are suspected terrorists in other words they are all tarred with the same brush. Its like saying that all white Americans are members of the Ku Klux Clan which is utterly ridiculous to assume this.
What about the Muslim child born and bred in the US all of a sudden he or she is a suspected branded terrorist by no fault of their own. If they didn't have racial issues this will surely provoke them.
This is my only concern. It's only going to antagonize an already difficult situation
There will always bad apples in the box no matter what race or religious beliefs.
It is a very emotive situation and going on the history of their races and connection with terrorism I can see Trumps concern. Whether this is the solution to take this stance is detrimental, time will tell again. A well used cliche' by now.

Some valid points.
However, last night there were two gang members, illegal immigrants of course from El Salvador, who kidnapped three females in Houston and violently murdered one of them in a Satanic ritual. These are the types of illegal immigrants that Trump is trying to ban from migrating into the United States.

A very well-written editorial, I can understand there are many innocent peaceful people also from those countries, but in my opinion, it is better to be safe than sorry.

I am slowly beginning to hope Trump succeeds in principle, with tags positive things he wants to do for the country. His insistence on appearing to be above the law and secretive only diminishes his ability.
