This is a surprising little poem that to me speaks of the romance of a couple in an isolated, snow shrouded cabin. I also thought of classic westerns about isolated cabins. Instead of being a place of fear, it is a place of refuge, especially when you think of the business of our lives.
Your poem made me think about my trip to Catalina Island last week. A storm knocked out the internet, leaving me with nothing to do online except write my "Teacake" story. The lack of internet and the abundance of isolation on an island enabled me to finish my story. I could use another storm to get more writing done.
