Most of the Haiku writers are on Spring now. It's nice to get the change of season that your poem offers. Very well written. An excellent example of Haiku.

Yeah, I'm a chapter behind in these haiku posts, Thomas...story of my life. LOL Tonight there has been thunderstorms and tornado warnings, so I don't know if I'm in winter or spring.
Thanks for your review and comments. I truly appreciate your kind words.

I would absolutely LOVE this!!! So long as the freezer was stocked, ha ha. This has no need of a picture, the words paint quite easily, themselves. Beautiful, blessings...

Thanks for your kind review, Irish Rain. It's been a longtime wish for me, and YES there has to be food and beverages stranded, too. Thank you for your wonderful words.

I miss the English snow. Your poem brought it all back. Big dumps of it, icy wind on the face and silence. A great Haiku. Congratulations. Susan

Me too, Karyn :) I can relate to your fantasies....and add more.
I can feel the coldness of blizzard and warmth of the fireplace just by reading this beautiful poem...of course on the bearskin rug :) it has to be. Well done, my friend. With love, Ella

You are welcome, Karyn. Please check OwnersDirect online. Sometimes they have great deals, and you might find a cabin in the woods. With love, Ella

Thanks! That would be so great! Now, I just have to find someone to love who'd want to go with me! :-)

You made me laugh... :0) Well, winter is almost over so I am sure there will be someone for the next.

Well, Kazz-girl...!
I know just why you didn't use a photo...if you'd used a photo you would have needed an 18+ rating... As you say, some things are best left to the imagination...
The bearskin rug is optional? You disappoint me...
Nice post. I'm constantly amazed at the ease with which you conjure up such strong desires and emotions with just a few small words. You are a master. I think every reader will also "wish we were there". I know I do...
Sounds nicer than a dusty bedouin's tent...

Hi Wistful AntMan! Oh yeah, being stranded in a mountain cabin with all the needed goodiesv away from the troubles of the world would be so much better than getting sand in me knickers. LOL
I've had this fantasy for a long time, and believe me ... if there was a bearskin rug in front of the fireplace, it sure wouldn't make me leave! But I have to find a cabin with a jacuzzi outside on the back deck...an integral part of the fantasy I insist on having.
Thank you, Ant, for your encouraging comments for my short poetry forms. I'm truly pleased you like them, and hope you're not sick of reading them. Your wishing you were there is the best compliment the poem could receive from a reader. I thamk you for that.
Thanks for your review, for making me laugh, and making me blush...it felt good. LOL
Smiles,
Kazzgirl :-)

I knew you'd try to get out of our coffee date in Northern Sudan...humph! But you're right...ice in knickers would be far more...er...sensory than sand in knickers.
A jacuzzi out the back...conjures instant images of the movie 'Mouse Hunt'. I'm guessing an ending like that would NOT be part of your fantasy. So, you're a ''wallow lazily in the hot tub followed by naked romp in the snow" type of girl. Must be the Scandinavian coming out in you...
Tired of your hair-dos? It's the least I can do for you, considering your patience with me. The pleasure is all mine.
I'm pleased that I could make you 'feel good'. The feeling is mutual...
xx

Do I get to choose half the movies?
Vodka and wine?
I think I get this. I hate nuisance snow. But I like the big ones.
I want an event, not an inconvenience.
I don't have a fireplace. But if you have a place in mind,
I'll do a snow dance.
Peace, Lee

Hell, you can choose all the movies, hw! LOL. Thamks for your awesome review, shiny extra star, and your always great comments. You do get this...nuisance snow vs a snow event. A good reason to be stranded by winter and not care.
I've had this fantasy for decades and don't think I'll ever stop hoping to live it. I'm such a mushy optimistic dreamer.
Thanksiiio for your review, and please feel free to do your snow dance...I'd love to watch.
Smiles,
Indy :-)

Ah...yeah....
Been stranded, but alone, in a house with three dogs and no heat. NOT the same. But with a loved one? Or ones? With heat? Give it to me!
Beautifully written. Has me longing.
