I am not into the horror genre, but your understated treatment in the tanka form is very effective. As I scrolled down the image surprised me but made me want to hear the story behind it. Your final line concluded the dramatic tale well. Sighs- Joan

A more subtle but still very disturbing. Clearly, during an amorous exchange, the poor victim was exsanguinated. Tempting fate with fatal beauty does come at a price.

I don't take my own pictures. I find them on Google public domain. I'm a painter and some times I use my paintings.

I think Dean's tanka is scarier but I want to enter the contest anyway. It is fun. :) Thank you for the six smackeroos and kindness. Can't ever get enough of that.
