What a wonderful attitude you have about life. It will carry you through the hard times.

Nothing beats positive thinking. I know you have things to deal with, but feel sure you're up to it. Keep thinking happy thoughts.

"With tongue jammed tight between my teeth" - I've done this all my life, and my sons do, too. Best way to concentrate. LOL

"So if an opportunity comes knocking on your door,It might just be that little piece that you've been looking for." We never know, do we?

Great poem!

Very nice! I like how your poem tells a story. It's a simple story but very enjoyable to read. The poem was very enjoyable to read.

Sandra, I did enjoy this poem and reminded e of a poem I wrote about puzzles.
Here is the poem.

He Stood Beside Me

Life seemed a puzzle that did not fit
And I couldn't make much sense of it,
That's when I told Jesus I'd made a mess
And asked if He would come and bless.
As I looked into His kind face,
He put all the pieces in their place.
He stood beside me and dropped them in
Where shortly before there had only been sin.
Now I can rest in His love and grace,
And looked up so I'd see his kind face.

Hi Sandra - another very philosophical poem from you. Well written with good rhyme and meter. Good message within the poem - I shall take your mum's advice and try some patience and persistence - but not with a jigsaw puzzle, can't bear them. I'm hooked on Sudoco. My favourite line is 'I thumped and pushed but in the end I just went out to play.' - that's exactly what I'd have done. LOL. A very well written poem as would be expected from you. Warm regards Dorothy xxx
