You left us with a lot to think about. It sounds like he is going to get other opinions on the situation. There were many of these mysteries after the war. A lot of expensive art was never recovered. Still an interesting read.

Hi Barb, this is another well written chapter. My only complaint is it wasn't longer, but it does leave me wanting more of the story.

Russian Mafia, stolen goods, recovery plan continues; I liked the theme, fast forward plot progression in good flow of thoughts, catchy beginning and planned curious ending; I enjoyed the conversation.

I enjoyed this read, however I have to admit this is the first chapter I've read. The dinner seems to end rather nebulously, I feel, so that there might be one or two people still at the dinner table. But as I've said, I need to go back and read previous chapters first in order to properly connect. Your idea of providing the cast of characters is wonderful!

Thank you for the kind review. I fail to see how this being the first chapter you read why I should be penalized for it.

Barbara,

I know the feeling. I still read my book that's in print and find that I want to make changes! It's a sickness. But I didn't spot anything glaring, it all looked good to me!

I thought the eating and details from chewing to other was very different, but with your style of writing, I suppose necessary. Nothing wrong, just thought it odd with your style that's all. Still an interesting story.

I'm glad Anderson knows why Shana tried to run away. It gives him a clearer picture of her character.
Sounds like a dangerous job to infiltrate Morzov's organization.

Thanks for sharing another fine chapter that leads me to believe there is more going on than what I'm picking up on at the time. Maybe even Anderson knows more than we've come to believe. Great job. :-)

I don't usually bother with making notes or suggestions on your work as I know you will catch them on your own. However, I've just added to of the simplest as those are the ones I read right through without ever catching. :-)

Excellent post, and I'm glad I have six stars to award. You're doing a great job moving the story along. It says a lot about Shana that she was willing to take her chances and leave the apartment because she heard Anderson say he was afraid he'd lose custody of his daughter and didn't want to cause a scandal. Jeff seems like a man with lots of talent. Anderson knows where and when to use him. There seems to be more to the painting that the Russians are desperate to get. Will be so curious to know what. judi
