IndianIrish, I like this haiku. That colts first steps are wobbly,
but he's having a great time out in the field playing and running.
What a wonderful picture to go along with it.

Thank you, heyjude, for taking the time to read and write a review for my colt haiku. I appreciate your kind response, and I'm delighted you enjoyed the poem. They're such fun to watch on their wobbly legs. But it doesn't take them long to get it right.

Karyn :-)

Thanks, Robyn, for your review for my colt haiku. I've only had some published in Prune Juice, and I've been very honored to have some haiku of mine selected by an artist to be used on notecards and a 2017 calendar. I love the Japanese short poems ... reading and writing them.
Smiles,
Karyn :-)

Your haiku are always so lovely. I can feel the colt's light-heartedness in this. I keep studying these, but so far, my haiku's are a flop. So I doubly appreciate yours!! Blessings...

Thank you, Irish Rain, for taking the time to read and write a review for my colt haiku. I appreciate your kind response, and I'm delighted you enjoyed the poem. I'd never written any Japanese short forms before I joined FanStory, and my first ones were horrible! But with the help of several talented teachers way back then, I learned to love reading and writing them. Thamks for reading and commenting on my haiku, Irish Rain.
Smiles,
Karyn :-)

You are most welcome. I have trouble with haiku, senyru, tanka... but I'll continue to study them. One day I'll have my 'aha!' moment!!!

IndianaIrish, a very good brief haiku poem.
The picture attached allows the words to carry
further. The end line adds more cheekiness to
the scene. Great job. ~DD

Horses are surely things of beauty... I never tire of looking at them as they display themselves in all their splendor. Thanks for the great haiku. Wishing you the best.

The picture is great showing the young horse unfettered and free. The words are a strong match in describing the action in the photo.
