Interesting subject today Brett i must say you are obviously going to get lobbyists on both side of the moral fence on this one and you are not going to appease both sides with the meaning of any legislation its the nature of the beast.

Homosexuality, transgender, transvestites and where they fit in morally and biologically with stuff as simple as restrooms specifically the latter in my examples not the former.

thanks for posting this editorial

Seems those opposed to allowing transgenders to use facilities of the sex they claim to be are losing this battle,. as well it should be.

Appreciate you reading and writing a review.

    Your comments and support appreciated.

A fascinating look at a very controversial topic that is much to the fore in America of late.

Goodness knows how to solve the myriad of problems created by this one Act. Bring back the good old days when the back yard was the toilet out in the country side. No gender issues just back to nature

Oh, the power of getting to decide which sex you want to be! I agree with the Trump administration on this one. School districts can best assess the needs of their students. Why should the rights of the majority of students be second to the rights of a few? I fear that with transgendering becoming such a trendy thing, young people will want to test the waters, regardless of the sex that's on their birth certificate. Will they have to have to have a note from their shrink to show that they are really, truly, of a different sexual persuasion? I say, let those kids use the faculty restrooms! The best decision is to leave it up to the states to assess their needs for accommodation. Pro ball teams should get over it and do what they're supposed to do--play ball. Let the states decide social issues. Great presentation. judi

Did not know the background only that this administration was looking bad. Now I realize they did not look bad at all because they did not start this mess.

    Glad you enjoyed this editorial.

It is indeed one more mess the Democrats created, and now that The Donald is attempting to clean it up, all the Democrats want to do is scream long and loud about it, in an effort to one more time discredit Trump.

"Reversing this guidance tells trans kids that it's ok with the Trump Administration and the Department of Education for them to be abused and harassed at school for being trans."

(Normally I agree with you and the Trump. In this case and in my opinion, I disagree. These kids, and people have a hard enough time trying to find themselves. This only makes them return to feeling like freaks. There is a high suicide rate among transgenders and it's not because of surgery, it's because of other people who don't understand them. And they are less harmful by far than those freaks we call pedophiles.

Also who freaking carries their birth certificate around so they can go to the bathroom? What nonsense.

Sorry, I grew up with and am still friends with many gay people. I've met transgender. Not one is or was harmful to anyone else.

Your points are well stated, however, in the eyes of the law as it is currently written, just because a person identifies themselves as being of the opposite sex does not mean they are.

Should these people be maltreated for being transgender?

Personally, I believe you are Gay only if you chose to be. I do not believe a person is born that way.

However, that being said, I also do not believe anybody should be subjected to bullying of any kind.

That is where states, screaming for the right do so, need to step up and take control of this situation.

Unfortunately, the general consensus among the States seems to be to follow North Carolina's lead on this issue.

Your reviews and comments always welcome, even if different from mine.

As I said, that is what this book is designed for. Getting people talking about The Donald.
